Oppo has launched the A9 in China on 25th April. It comes as the successor to the Oppo A7 that was launched last year. The Oppo A9 comes in a single variant – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. And it costs CNY 1,799.
The Oppo A9 brings with it a 6.53-inch IPS LCD, which has a Full HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Being a 2019 device, the display has minimal bezels, and a V-shaped notch at the top. According to Oppo, the A9 has a 90% screen to body ratio. Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio P70 SoC. This chipset has octa-core CPU (4x Cortex-A73 clocked at 2.0GHz, and 4x Cortex -A53 clocked at 2.0GHz), and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Oppo A9 runs on Android 9 Pie operating system, which has Color OS 6.0 customization & has packed the device GameBoost 2.0. The rear camera setup has one 16MP primary camera and a 2MP depth-sensor, whereas, the front-facing camera is a 16MP unit. The Oppo A9 packs a 4020mAh battery.
