(NASDAQ: MGI), a global leader in cross-border P2P payments and money transfers, today announced that it has partnered with IME Limited and IME Digital, a Digital wing of IME Limited , to expand digital access of its global platform through IME Pay app and enable consumers in Nepal to receive remittance directly into their mobile wallets.
The partnership is another example of MoneyGram’s digital transformation, as it provides remittance customers the opportunity to connect to the company's digital platform along with its widespread agent networks in over 200 countries and territories. This will enhance customer experience through both MoneyGram’s digital and walk-in channels and is expected to help customers in Nepal claim remittance directly through the IME Pay app.

Nepal is home to over $8 billion in remittance flow, making the country one of the largest remittance markets in Asia. Nepal is also one of the key focus markets for MoneyGram within the South Asia region and the partnership will provide convenience for MoneyGram customers in Nepal. As a launch offer, IME Digital is offering an additional sum of 60 Nepalese Rupees for the customers who receive MoneyGram transactions in to their IME Pay wallets . The offer is valid till 31 December 2020 and is subject to applicable terms and conditions.
