The government is going to appoint the required enumerators and supervisors for the National Census 2078 BS on a contract basis. A total of 39,000 enumerators and 8,000 supervisors are being contracted for the census to be held from 25th Jestha to 8th Ashad, 2078 BS.
The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has made an arrangement to fill the online application form within two months from Sunday to 11th Chaitra 2077 BS. The online portal was launched on Sunday by Kewal Prasad Bhandari, secretary of the National Planning Commission.
The arrangement has been made to open the census office in each province and district from 1st Chaitra 2078 and the application form can be submitted to the concerned province and district office from 5th to 11th Chaitra 2078.
There is no charge for the application form. The slogan for next year's census is 'My Census, My Participation'. The government is celebrating the 8th of Ashad 2078 BS as the Census Day.
The minimum educational qualification for the post of the Enumerator (Ganak - गणक) is to have passed class 12 and for the post of the supervisor (सुपरिवेक्षक), one has to have passed the bachelor level. Nepali citizens who have completed 18 years of age and not exceeding 40 years of age and women who have completed 18 years of age and not exceeding 45 years of age can apply.
Selected candidates will be given priority to work at the address of permanent residence.
Eligibility Criteria:
Supervisor:
- Nepali citizens who have reached the following qualifications as per Article 13 of the National Census Operation Guideline 2077 may apply for the post of Supervisor.
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Graduated or equivalent.
- Age: 18 (eighteen) years completed by the last date of application and not exceeding 40 (forty) years. In the case of women not exceeding 45 (forty-five) years.
- Local-level: Citizens residing at the concerned local level.
Enumerator:
- Nepali citizens who have reached the following qualifications as per Article 13 of the National Census Operation Guideline 2077 can apply for the enumerator.
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Passed 10 + 2 (Ten Plus Two) or equivalent.
- Age: 18 (eighteen) years completed by the last date of application and not exceeding 40 (forty) years. In the case of women not exceeding 45 (forty-five) years.
- Local-level: Citizens residing at the concerned local level.
Documents and certificates to be applied for when applying online:
- Recently taken passport size torn scan / digital copy,
- Scan / Digital Copy of Nepali Citizenship Certificate (both sides),
- Scan / Digital Copy of Minimum Educational Qualification Certificate (Transcript),
- If the candidate wants to mention that he has undergone any training in data collection or has experience in data collection, then a scan / digital copy of the document confirming the same should also be uploaded.
- The scan / digital copy of the document to be uploaded by the candidate along with the application should be up to 2 MB at most and 1024 pixels (1024px).
- Candidates can obtain the submission number by changing the required information in such a form for 7 (seven) days after starting the new form. For this, you have to click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the form and the information can be edited by following the procedure given for editing.
- However, once the candidate has filled in the required details in the form and obtained the submission number, such a form cannot be edited and re-submitted.
