Olympian Swimmer Gaurika Singh has made the record by winning 12 gold in the eighth national games.With this Gaurika Singh bags the 12th gold medal in the eight National Games and a total of seven records set. Yet another record set by the Champion or shall we call her the "record breaker". Gaurika Singh won her first two golds on the first day while claiming the other two the very next day and won the other gold on the third day and counting.
In the swimming at Nepalgunj on Wednesday, Gaurika won a total of 12 gold medals by winning 4 gold with 3 national records on the last day. Gravika has made the record of 2 minutes 32 seconds in the 200meters individual medley improvising her own marks of 2 minutes 32.51 seconds. In this event, Duana Lama of the Army is titled Silver whereas Tisa Shakya of APF is entitled to bronze.
Singh made a record in the women's 50 meters freestyle hit stage. She broke the record of 27.95 seconds in her own name while taking the time of 27.81 seconds in the hit phase. In the final stage, Gaurika recorded gold medal for taking the time of 27.51 seconds. In the event, Sophia Shah of the Army won silver and Tisa Shakya of APF was presented with bronze.
Singh made a golden record of 100 meters backstrokes. She improvised her own record of 1 minute 8.63 seconds to complete the strokes in 1 minute 7.22 seconds. In this event, fellow Duana Lama won silver while Anushka Pokhrel of the police club won bronze.
