Deputy Chief executive Officer (DCEO)

Key Responsibilities:
The key role of the DCEO of I.M.E. Life is to support the CEO in the overall management of all aspects including company Strategy and Profitability, Making Policies, Planning, Business Development, Operations, Reinsurance, Product Development, Risk Management, and Regulatory Compliances. The DCEO shall work under the limited directions of the CEO to execute I.M.E. Life‘s operations, compliance, financial and business development and achieving overall organizational goal and profitability. Moreover, DCEO should not be limited only on the following responsibilities to support CEO:

• Collaborate closely with the CEO in decision-making processes and overall management of the company.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategic plans. Help identify opportunities for growth and innovation within the life insurance sector in Nepal.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficient functioning across various departments including sales, underwriting, claims, customer service, finance, IT, research & development and risk & compliance.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure company's sound financial health. This includes budgeting, financial forecasting, and implementing measures to achieve financial targets.
• Provide leadership to senior management and staff, fostering a positive work culture and ensuring alignment with the company's mission and values. Mentor and develop talent within the organization.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including regulators, partners, clients, and industry associations. Represent the company in industry forums and events.
• Stay abreast of developments in the insurance industry, particularly with regards to technology and innovation. Identify opportunities to leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and customer experience. Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements. Implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of ethical conduct and corporate responsibility.

Minimum Required Criteria:

• A master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or economics.
• Minimum age should be 45 years in application date.
• Minimum 15 years of working experience in senior management level including Executive level/HoDs with higher exposure working in Life Insurance; Underwriting, Reinsurance, Claims, Actuarial Valuation, Pricing, IT, Digitization, Human Resource, Administration, Risk & Compliances and Business Development.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products, actuarial valuation, operations, business development and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Upholding high ethical standards and integrity.
