Actuarial Analyst - 3 (Three)
Major Roles and Responsibilities (Job Description)
- Conduct research on emerging insurance trends, innovative products, and regulatory changes; prepare research reports, documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and potential implications to stakeholders, including senior management and the Appointed Actuary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to IT, underwriting, Risk Management and regulatory requirements applicable to integrate research findings and innovative solutions into practical applications and product offerings.
- Assist in the design and development of new life insurance products.
- Analyze product performance, persistency and risk exposures.
- Recommend product modifications and enhancements based on experience analysis.
- Assist on annual statutory actuarial valuation tasks.
- Assist in reinsurance arrangement analysis and treaty pricing.
- Administer policies ceded to reinsurers, including premium/ recovery calculations.
- Develop an understanding of the risk-based capital (RBC), ORSA and reports Framework and regulatory requirements applicable to the life insurance business.
- Contribute to the preparation of RBC, ORSA and NFRS 17 reports, support the development and implementation of strategies to maintain adequate capital levels and optimize the company's risk adjusted capital position.
- Potential responsibilities in experience analysis, assumption setting, financial reporting, risk management etc.

Essential Qualification & Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Passed at least 3 actuarial professional exams.
- Minimum 3 months of work experience in the Nepali insurance industry or actuarial consulting firms.
- Advance knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point and related applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Nepali language.
