A well fought victory over a Newcastle team, leads Arsenal to the third place in the English Premier League ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham in the Champions League places. The Monday evening game turned out to be quite a take on for Arsenal as it succeeded on scoring 2 goals on each half against Newcastle.
Arsenal looked to have taken the lead on 12 minutes when Aaron Ramsey pounced on a flicked-on header following a corner, but the referee waved it off. Ramsey found the way back of the net again strucking a goal at the 30th minute. Alexandre Lacazette nets the second goal as quick link-up play between Arsenal’s strikers becomes too much for Newcastle to handle goal at the 83rd minute. Arsenal, who were 10 points behind Tottenham at the beginning of February, now have 63 points and next play in the Premier League against Everton on April 7.
