Nepal advances to the finals of Women's SAFF Championship after a staggering victory over Sri Lanka. Match held on the 6th of Chaitra, Wednesday at the Shid Rangasala Stadium in Biratnagar, Nepal leads with a heavy difference of 4 goals against Sri Lanka who were just bolted off by the brilliant play and defence of Nepalese Women.
Nepal managed to get their first kick off with a goal from Punam Jargha Magar at 42 minutes. This remained the only goal for Nepal within the first half of the game leading the score by 1-0. Nepal took an excellent form in the second half. Anita Basnet, Sabitra Bhandari & Rekha Poudel all three contributed each goal at the 73', 83' & 85' respectively. Though Sri Lankan Team stood firm in their defences, Nepal's persistent will on poking a goal led the victory with 4 goals. Nepal showed an aggresive and impressive game from the first minute, as they missed a few they made their way upto the top.
While the other game where India also took a victory of 4 goals againts Bangladesh scoring none, Nepal will be playing it's finals with team Indian on March 22.
